Questions owners ask

Have you ever asked,
“Who is actually handling this?”

If the answer is unclear, inconsistent, or always “the owner,” that is usually where our work begins.

Business operators working through a complex plan together
Start with the real question. Then trace it to the operating system beneath it.
01What does a strategic operations advisor actually do?+

We help ownership understand how the business is operating, identify the constraints limiting performance or growth, design a stronger operating model, and help implement it. The work can span accountability, projects, vendors, processes, reporting, technology, contracts, expansion, and executive decisions.

02How is Mane different from a traditional consultant?+

We do not consider a recommendation the finish line. Mane works beside leadership to install processes, reporting, tools, and management rhythms—and can remain involved through an Embedded Operations Partnership™ or fractional COO relationship.

03Can Mane review our entire convenience-store operation?+

Yes. We can examine the full operating picture across locations, including vendor relationships, program economics, maintenance ownership, fuel and category agreements, facilities, reporting, technology, expansion workflows, and the issues consuming ownership’s time.

04Can you help us understand whether vendor contracts and rebate programs are working?+

Yes. We can help organize agreements, document obligations, compare actual performance to expected value, clarify ownership, and establish a repeatable review cadence. Where specialized legal, tax, or regulated advice is required, we coordinate with the client’s qualified professionals.

05Do you provide fractional COO services?+

Yes. Mane can provide a defined operating leadership role for organizations that need experienced structure and execution support but are not ready to hire a full-time COO.

06Do you only work with petroleum and convenience stores?+

No. Convenience retail and petroleum are important areas of sector depth, but the underlying operating problems we solve occur across construction, real estate, infrastructure, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, and other growing organizations.

07Can you help with expansion and opening new locations?+

Yes. We can design and manage repeatable expansion workflows covering owners, approvals, schedules, permits, vendors, equipment, handoffs, reporting, and opening readiness.

08Will Mane replace our existing team?+

Usually not. Our goal is to make the existing organization more capable by clarifying ownership, strengthening managers, creating useful systems, and filling operating gaps that cannot remain unowned.

09Do you sell software?+

Mane is an operations firm, not a software agency. We may configure, integrate, automate, or help create technology when it supports a clearly defined operating process. Operations come first; technology follows.

10What is an Organizational Assessment™?+

It is a structured diagnostic of how the organization currently runs. We review leadership priorities, workflows, roles, systems, documents, reporting, risks, and constraints, then identify the highest-value opportunities for structure and improvement.

11How much does an engagement cost?+

Every organization is different. Pricing reflects the scope, responsibility, duration, and value of the work rather than forcing every client into one package. The initial conversation and assessment request help us determine the right starting point.

12Does Mane work nationwide?+

Yes. Mane serves organizations across the United States, combining remote operating support with on-site discovery and implementation when the engagement requires it.
